Samsung unlocked international comparison : Galaxy S III, S II, Grand and Nexus
Buyer Guide for Unlocked International Version Samsung Android-based phones
It seems all Samsung phones are either having a huge drawback or have the wrong screen size, almost none except the Galaxy S II is good. The Nexus has no microSD card (no external storage!), otherwise it would be perfect with its screen size of 4.65 inches. Other phones have either too small screen (4.0 inch) which makes typing error-prone on the keyboard. Other nice phone with very solid features have too big a screen so if you travel to a foreign country you get eyes all over your cellphone. The Galaxy Grand would be *perfect* if it would have a mini version (check the features below). Otherwise if I would work at Samsung I would make the perfect phone by taking the S III, downgrade it from four cores CPU to two cores, and a screen size of 4.6 inches instead of 4.8-inch. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is just too small (4.0 inches) to be friendly for texting.
The overal best bundle is the S II (GT-I9100) which has a screen size of 4.3 inches, two cores at 1.2 GHz, and a microSD expension card. Otherwise is there another phone with screen size between 4.3 and 4.7 inches with microSD card from Samsung? Of course if you travel a bit get the international version, you will be able to buy international SIM cards or foreign SIM card without buying a new phone for every country and waste the planet.
