Step 1 - Open clip in editor, make sure the "Effect Controls" view is set visible to see the following tab.

Step 2 - Click those square icons

Step 3 - Add some markers and change the Position and Scale values for those markers.

What to do when you cannot add video transition !

1) Make sure clips are touching in the timeline

2) Make sure each source clip has extra video footage outside the portion used in timeline so it has something to blend with (this is where most people get stuck).
